A New Record & It’s Good News for a Change!

In the latest National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Outlook survey, 93.3 percent of manufacturers across the nation are either somewhat or very positive about their own company’s outlook, up 77.8 percent from December 2016. It was the second straight quarter where the outlook exceeded its historic average and there were strong gains in confidence for all firm sizes.

NMBC has heard from our manufacturing members and they expect better years ahead for their companies. NMBC member Richard Guerrero, SupplyOne President and General Manager, says “SupplyOne is seeing increased activity within our existing accounts.” NMBC is working to expand existing manufacturing in the state as well as make the state a better place for new manufacturing companies.

Mr. Guerrero agreed there is a need to expand the market, saying, “There continues to be a lack of incoming manufacturing companies, coming to the state.”
