New Mexico, We Found Your Hero! Join the NMBC at the 2015 Heroes Luncheon, where we will honor APD Officer Lou Golson as the Hero of the Year. Officer Golson was shot 4 times after pulling over a suspected drunk driver in January of this year. Although wounded and on the ground, the veteran officer returned fire and was able to give responding officers a clear description and direction of the shooter’s escape. After months of rehabilitation and pain, Officer Golson has returned to limited duty work with APD. He can’t wait to get back on the streets with the DWI Unit.
The keynote address at the 2015 Heroes Luncheon will be delivered by U.S. Marshal Conrad E. Candelaria, who also has a distinguished career of law enforcement service to his community and the state of New Mexico. The Heroes Luncheon will be held at the Marriott Pyramid North (Albuquerque), on August 27, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
