There is some HEROIC activity as well, such as the statement by Rep Jim Townsend, “Why can’t the NM Legislators reduce spending vs raising taxes as NM families do? Our constituents expect leadership not Politics!” NMBC also wants to point out legislative HEROES Rep Jason Harper, Sen John Arthur Smith and Sen Carlos Cisneros for working to pass tax reform legislation that New Mexico needs! See the bill HERE.
NMBC is hard at work with a physical presence at the capitol: NMBC is in Santa Fe talking with legislators and testifying in various committees in support of our priority objectives and against job killing legislation. We have made it easy for you to keep tabs on all the bills we are watching through our NMBC BillTracker. Check it out!
Want an interim update on the 2017 Legislative Session? Carla Sonntag will be speaking for the Military Coalition’s February 2017 Luncheon at the Albuquerque Marriott on Saturday, February 25 at 11AM providing an important interim report on the 2017 Legislative Session. New Mexico is seeing a few signs of job growth, which is greatly needed given our ranking 2nd worst unemployment in the nation: Fidelity Investments says they will bring 135 additional jobs to NM by May. Up to 70 manufacturing jobs are coming to Roswell! And Lowe’s is adding 500 new, full-time jobs to their Albuquerque stores.
The future is bright! We will continue to work hard to make New Mexico a better place to live and work. Thank you for your continued support.
