Albuquerque Public Schools will again ask city voters to approve a new capital spending package this November. This time the request will be for a more modest amount and will not include a tax increase.
After voters clearly rejected the previous $900 million mill levy and bond package last February, APS has returned with a clearly defined and reasonable request for tax payer funding. Albuquerque voters understand that APS needs additional funding for maintenance and school improvements, and what they are putting forward with this new package is a transparent and honest proposal. Election Day is Nov. 5. Absentee voting is Oct. 8 and early voting kicks off on Oct. 19th. Read more HERE.
