All Eyes on the NM House

The good news is that there is a requirement of 36 votes to pass a Constitutional Amendment in the House. With two progressives out, this is unlikely to happen. We anticipate, with the strength of enough Representatives doing the right thing, the vote could be much less than that. We are encouraging all NM Representatives to do the right thing by the people of this great state and vote ‘NO’ on Constitutional Amendments that raise minimum wage or raid the permanent fund.

YOUR VOICE DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE! HELP STOP UNNECESSARY CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS BY CALLING OR EMAILING REPRESENTATIVES!

WHERE’S THE BUDGET? The State Budget is IN THE HOUSE: The Senate approved a budget late yesterday and it now goes to the NM House for approval. Here is a thought: “The session ends at noon on Thursday and we need the one item that this session is called to do: produce a balanced budget!”
