HB 32 Two-Tiered Driver’s Licenses: HB 32 is being sponsored by Representative Paul Pacheco and will establish a two tiered license system – one for legal residents and a driving permit for persons who are not illegally in New Mexico.

HB 79 Driver’s Licenses to Foreign Nationals: HB 79 is being sponsored by Representative Bill Rehm and will require that New Mexico driver licenses only be issued to legal residents. Additionally, HB 79 would recall all previously issued licenses and ID cards from persons who are not legally in New Mexico.

The New Mexico Business Coalition (NMBC) supports HB 32 and HB 79 and encourages New Mexicans to attend the committee meeting if they can and contact members of the House Safety and Civil Affairs Committee (HSCAC), asking them to vote YES on HB 32 and HB 79.
