City Council Candidate Fails to Safeguard Donor Money

Early voting for the runoff election in ABQ for City Council District 6 is currently underway and the available candidates give voters a distinct choice. A highly respected leader of a nonprofit who has shown management and financial acumen, Jeff Hoehn, or Nichole Rogers, a candidate who failed to file the required legal documents for her nonprofit, that would show how much was raised for the organization and how donor money was spent.

On the other hand, Nicole Rogers hasn’t responded to our candidate survey, making it unclear to voters as to what she will do if elected to this office. What we do know is that if she is wanting to be elected to a position that has oversight of billions in tax dollars, yet cannot keep track of her own nonprofit’s money, this should also be a red flag for voters.
