Federal Government to tighten unemployment benefits in light of strong job growth

New regulations crafted by the Trump administration are aimed at reducing government dependency and encouraging citizens to seek out gainful employment. The rule focuses on able-bodied adults 49 or younger, without dependents. Generally, they can receive only three months of benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) over a three-year period, unless they meet certain work requirements.
