Governor issues more restrictive COVID measures for NM

On Thursday afternoon Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham rolled back some of her previous business restrictions relating to the increased spread of Covid-19 in New Mexico. The new measures will take effect on Monday; here’s a quick run down of the changes to expect:

  • Masks: Masks must be worn outside the home for nearly all activities. This order now also applies to exercising as well. 
  • Eating and Drinking out: Indoor dining is no longer allowed and outdoor seating is limited to 50% capacity.
  • State parks: our of state visitors are no longer allowed at NM state parks. If you plan to go, be sure to bring ID and in state license plates for any vehicles you might park while away from your vehicle. 
  • Contact Sports: All high school (and youth club) contact sports are cancelled for this fall season. This includes football, soccer, and wrestling.
