For 10 years now the New Mexico Business Coalition has sought to honor the veteran and first responder heroes among us from all walks of life with a banquet in their name. This year, as Covid-19 rampages through our daily lives and upends our routines, we are still committed to recognizing the impact these Heroes have on our communities and each other. Veterans from across the state are nominated by their peers and fellow citizens to receive NMBC’s Veteran of the Year Award for their enduring service to others and selflessness. NMBC is proud to be able to continue this tradition in spite of the tumult caused by Covid-19. The Veteran of the Year is selected from these nominations by an independent panel of former servicemen and women to highlight the career and continued dedication to others that is exemplified by the award recipient.

With the support of Mayor Gregg Hull, City of Rio Rancho and great community partners like Public Service Company of New MexicoConocoPhillipsChevronPresbyterian Healthcare ServicesPhRMAAndy’s PaintingQuality Generational Investments, and Advertising Ideas (Farmington, NM), New Mexico Business Coalition is proud to Honor United States Air Force Veteran Roger Newall as the 2020 Veteran of the Year.
