Newly elected Congresswoman Yvette Herrell was sworn in as New Mexico’s official representative for NM CD 2 on Monday. In a video posted to her social media, Herrell told her supporters she was thankful for the opportunity to serve New Mexico’s second district. “This is New Mexico’s office so I’m just thankful to be here and be part of it,” Herrell said in the video posted to the Republican Congresswoman’s official Facebook page Jan. 3. “Swearing-In Day in the U.S. House of Representatives has been an exciting and humbling experience,” Herrell said.

New Mexico Congresswoman Deb Haaland and newcomer Teresa Leger Fernandez were also sworn in along side Herrell for the 117th Congress on Monday. Together Haaland, Leger Fernandez and Herrell represent a historic all female congressional delegation for New Mexico. Representative Herrell will open two district offices here in New Mexico, one in Las Cruces and one in Roswell. To contact Congresswoman Herrell in Washington D.
