Often times, Americans take the freedoms of this country for granted, focusing on the weaker areas of our democracy rather than the fact that the U.S.A. is still one of the greatest countries in this world. 

As American citizens, it’s important that we come back to the basics of what makes our country great, why living in this country shouldn’t be taken lightly, and why the ‘American Dream’ is still a goal for so many that live here and those all over the world who still don’t have this opportunity. A young college student talked about the American freedoms we experience and how we take our freedoms in speech, faith, and growth in this country for granted. Because many other countries don’t experience the same freedoms we experience, America is still one of the greatest countries in the world, even in the moral and ethical failures we see play out.
