2023 LEGISLATIVE INFO
NMBC communicated with legislators, throughout the 60-day session, encouraging them to support good legislation and oppose toxic bills. Here are some of the things that NMBC did during the 2023 Legislative Session:
- Keep Elected Officials Accountable:
- NMBC members helped create our Legislative and Policy Positions for the session and these were sent to each Senator and Representative.
- Advocate for all New Mexicans:
- NMBC actively testified during the session when public comments are taken and we sent out Calls to Action forms several times on legislation we needed to stop or promote.
- Tracking Legislation:
There are too many bills for most people to keep track of so that’s where the NMBC BillTracker comes in, highlighting selected legislation in real time.
