At a meeting of cabinet secretaries on July 9th, Governor Lujan Grisham reiterated her aspirations for diversifying the New Mexican economy to make the state less reliant on the boom and bust cycle of oil and gas industries.
Conspicuously absent from the talks was any discussion of reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens or improved tax plans that would improve our state’s business environment, which encourages growth.
Voters, who just saw their taxes go up July 1 (in the midst of a billion+ dollar revenue surplus) will determine if ‘income driven’ policy is what they want for our state. Read more HERE.
