A positive economic outlook and growth expected…

Across the country Manufacturers’ record-high optimism reported in the first quarter has carried into the second quarter of this year, marking the highest two-quarter average, of 91.4 percent, for manufacturing optimism in the NAM survey’s 20-year history. In addition, 80 percent of manufacturers say the president’s actions on regulations are headed in the right direction, with more than half of respondents saying those actions will allow them to expand operations, increase investment and add more workers. NMBC’s work against overzealous EPA rules; issues now moving in the right direction: In 2015, when the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pushed forward with job killing ozone rules, NMBC was on a national press call and worked with NAM to oppose the rules. NMBC also worked to educate New Mexicans about the negative impact the EPA rules would have on oil and gas operations and other industries in the state. The good news is the U.S. House recently passed a bill delaying implementation of the Obama-era rules. Similar legislation is advancing in the Senate and expected to pass with majority support. NMBC gladly fights for businesses that are impacted by overzealous government regulations and work hard to save and grow precious jobs that New Mexicans need. Since 2009 – it’s what we do!
