Call To Action: Homeless Override

A couple weeks ago, the Albuquerque city council voted 6-3, to stop the spreading of more homeless camps across the city until 2023.

After the major victory, the city council’s decision then went to the mayor’s desk for his approval which is where things went south. The mayor has clearly seen the opposition to these camps and the public pushback but has chosen to ignore all of that and rejected the city council’s decision, effectively vetoing their vote.

Thankfully, the city council can still override the mayor’s veto and push this decision through and that’s exactly where you come in. On September 5th the city council will vote on this issue and we need you to take 30 seconds to send an email to those six who voted in favor of postponing the camps, encouraging them to override the mayor. Additionally, your efforts will help them stand firm with the 1,000s of voters who are against the homeless camps all around the city and want a better New Mexico for everyone.

Respond to the Call to Action HERE and take 30 seconds to make a difference!
