What do New Mexicans think of Governor Lujan Grisham’s Covid-19 response and current statewide shutdown?
To better understand where New Mexicans stand on the handling of the coronavirus, NMBC conducted an open survey of over 1,100 voluntary participants. Respondents concluded:
95% feel the economy should have been opened no later than May 15th;
93% feel it is important or very important for ALL small businesses to open immediately.
84% were dissatisfied with the response from N.M. officials regarding the handling of the state’s shutdown and lack of a plan for reopening;
73% were dissatisfied with the response to unemployment;
85% said, ‘The Governor’s leadership and/or decisions do not support what is best for all New Mexicans.’
