Comments regarding the loss of Sylvia Bokor from NMBC President Carla Sonntag:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sylvia Bokor. She was one of the strongest women I’ve ever met and cared deeply for New Mexico and its people. Sylvia worked tirelessly to improve this state, dedicating much of her time to volunteer activities centered on economic freedom and prosperity.

Sylvia fought valiantly to the end, always more concerned about others and important issues like Right to Work than she was about her personal circumstances. She never complained about what she was going through, but smiled and continued to encourage those she was leaving behind.

Sylvia was the third strong patriot woman New Mexico lost this year behind Marge Tapia and Maryann Chifelle. All three of these women were recognized as New Mexico Business Coalition Heroes for their work and dedication to the state. New Mexico is better because of the influence of each one of them. We can only hope that others will step up to a leadership role and strive, as these great women did, to make a difference.”
