Las Cruces recruits new manufacturing start up “Big Tuna”

A new manufacturing firm with exclusive rights to produce and distribute high-density pipe products has elected to set up shop in Las Cruces. The company aims to support the oil and gas industry for processed water management systems. Big Tuna will invest $7.5 million into getting the project started, along with $200,000 in LEDA funding from the NM Economic Development Department and $75,000 from the city of Las Cruces.  NMBC hopes that this investment of LEDA funds also came with strong clawback provisions for the state.
