MLG Plans to Ask for $30M to Improve Literacy

Governor Lujan Grisham plans to ask the legislature for $30 million to build a ‘literacy institute.’  Read more HERE.

Although spending for early childhood education (ECE) has expanded by billions over the last few years, New Mexico is still ranked 50th in the country for education and one of the worst states for child well-being, to include education. 

The governor says all the tax funded ‘investments’ are working and more is needed to see results.
