New Mexico: Worst in Unemployment

New Mexico is not only in last place when it comes to child well-being, but also when it comes to employment in the state.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, New Mexico is ranked 50th in unemployment rates, sitting at 4.9%- only Washington D.C. is worse than we are. Is it because there aren’t enough jobs to go around? Absolutely not! Many businesses all over New Mexico are having a difficult time finding their workforce because there aren’t enough people applying to fill those positions.

So at NMBC, it’s our goal to help people find work all across the state so that they can become less reliant on Unemployment Benefits from the government, and more independent.
