NM oil and gas producers persevere through national downturn amid notice by NMED

Across the Permian Basin, oil and gas producers have dealt with the loss of production from wells but New Mexican producers have been able to buck the trend with less than 1% losses. Over the last year New Mexico has only lost one of its 105 oil rigs, as opposed to Texas that recorded a loss of 131 rigs from its total of 534 last year. Read more HERE.

Some bad news too for oil and gas producers as concerns over air quality violations are being made by state regulators. The New Mexico Environmental Department (NMED) has issued notice to several operators alleging violations of emission standards in regards to methane levels at production sites. Read more HERE.
