Soros and the SOS Race

Voters have a choice to make about who is in charge of our elections. The issue of Voter Photo Identification is one of the clear differences between the candidates for NM SOS. Secretary of State Dianna Duran supports Voter ID laws and says it would increase the integrity of the process. Bernalillo County Clerk and candidate for Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver is against Voter ID laws and says they would disenfranchise some voters and reduce participation in elections.

Election process integrity: Do you know what happens if you show up to vote and the election officials tell you someone has already voted for you? You will be offered a provisional ballot – as you can see in this 2012 Bernalillo County news story. Requiring voter identification would prevent this type of voter disenfranchisement and increase the integrity of the election process.

Also important: In the Secretary of State race, New York billionaire George Soros has personally invested his money and influence behind candidate Maggie Toulouse Oliver.

Voters should understand that George Soros has a history of spending millions of dollars in other states and in NM with the stated purpose of influencing who is in control of the vote. Why does George Soros want to influence who is in control of New Mexico elections?

REMEMBER: Look at the issues and decide for yourself what’s best for New Mexico. Don’t let New York billionaire, George Soros, influence your vote.
