Setting the Record Straight:

CANDIDATES: We understand candidates are in their races to win. However, NMBC, along with many voters, is saddened by the fact that some candidates feel it is necessary to try and destroy their opponents personally and/or professionally with statements that are misleading, untruthful, or unverifiable in order to win an election.

The NMBC does not care who you are, what position you are seeking, or the party in which you are registered. PLEASE tell the truth or we will tell it for you!

VOTERS: If you receive mail or see an ad that you know to be untrue or you question its validity, please send it to us. If there is a problem, we will put out the TRUTH.

Illegal Immigrants Treated as “Second-Class Citizens”? In discussing his position regarding issuing NM Drivers Licenses to illegal immigrants, Rep Phillip Archuleta is mistakenly concerned about “treating them like a second-class citizen”. They are NOT citizens and should not have a NM drivers license indicating they are citizens! Read more in this comparison between candidates former Rep Andy Nunez and Rep. Archuleta HERE.

Child Development Begins in the Home: How can we help New Mexico’s children without decimating the Permanent Fund? Some elected officials repeatedly work to expand the role of government, using taxpayer funds that are not necessarily producing positive results. It is refreshing to see individuals who believe that the future of our children first resides in the home. Rep. Tim Lewis says “I know that the best chance we have at increasing the number of happy and healthy families in our state is to work together.” Read more HERE.
