Easing trade tensions coupled with fair winter weather made for an outstanding U.S. jobs report for the first month of 2020. Economists had predicted an increase of 160,000 workers for the start of the year, but President Trump’s preliminary trade deal with China calmed market uncertainties and allowed for solid growth in multiple industries.
Wage growth also ticked higher to 3.1 percent on an annualized basis, increasing from December but below the pace economists consider necessary to keep up with rising health care, education and housing costs. Read more HERE.
