What Went Up Last Month?

Recent federal reports stated that over the past 12 months, the ‘all items’ price index increased by 8.3 percent! Aside from being another month for rising costs on many items, then report also detailed that many items that directly impact people rose significantly. These items include increases in shelter, food, and medical care, among other contributors to the increase.

It’s reports like these, that indicate a trending issue not only in our state, but also in our country. This is exactly why NMBC is strongly encouraging people to answer these questions before voting in November:
  1. Are you better off now than you were four years ago?
  2. Do you want more of the same (increased inflation, crime, etc.) or are you ready for a change?

The answers to these questions, along with further research, personal values, and the positions of each candidate, should determine how you vote in this next election. More than anything else, we’re encouraging people to have an informed vote through our voter education HERE so we can create change in our state. More detail about the inflation statistics and the report itself can be found HERE.
