Job Training for 14 NM Businesses in May

From tech companies to manufacturing, located in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Vegas and Santa Teresa, 14 New Mexico businesses were awarded money to spend on job training. NMBC is pleased to see companies growing and training existing employees, along with hiring and training new workers. This is great for our state and it helps to strengthen our economy.

In our time of recovery from the pandemic, it’s encouraging to see that 111 employees will benefit from the Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP), in May alone. NMBC has been pushing our government officials to reopen New Mexico businesses and begin the task of getting back to work.

According to Albuquerque Business First, the JTIP board meets monthly to review applications and award the incentives. In 2020, it awarded a total of $20.7 million that supported 2,380 New Mexican jobs. The average yearly salary was more than $38,000.
