Speaking of action – New Mexico’s Permian Basin is smok’n hot! Marathon Oil Corporation recently announced an agreement to acquire approximately 21,000 net surface acres largely in the Permian’s Northern Delaware basin of New Mexico for $700 million in cash. And there’s more. Chevron, which currently has 12 running wells in the Permian, plans to add three more this year and hopes to have 20 rigs operating in the Permian by the end of 2018.Read more HERE and HERE.
