Our sister organization Better Together New Mexico (BTNM) is looking for a team member with a passion for improving our state by working with New Mexicans who advocate for individual liberty and against government dependence.
This position requires in-office work (in Albuquerque) with a set schedule, Monday – Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Occasional events may occur after business hours and work schedules will be adjusted accordingly.
The right person will be able to develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels within the community interacting primarily via phone, email, and/or remote online meetings.
Must be proficient in:
- Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills;
- Organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills;
- A willingness to learn new technologies;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills;
- Written communication with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation;
- Editing and proofing documents with a high level of accuracy and efficiency;
- Typing and computer skills to include email, internet, and various software apps;
- Multi-tasking ability.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of desktop publishing tools (Canva, etc.);
- An awareness of the mechanics of state and county government;
- Event planning capabilities;
- Fundraising or sales experience;
- Experience with website posting and basic user-level tasks;
- Familiarity with remote meeting operations (Zoom, etc.).
