There are many positive things that can be done to make New Mexico a stronger economic engine and NMBC 2016 priorities, show how we think that can happen. We hope that partisanship will be set aside in the interest of the people in this great state.

Breaking News on CNM Bond & SF Update

CNM Spends $626,000 on 80 Year Old Homes, Asks Voters to Approve a Tax Increase For Dire Need Repairs: The New Mexico Business Coalition (NMBC) has uncovered new information about the Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) request for a property tax increase.

Public records show that CNM has spent $626,000 on off-campus, residential homes that are 80 years old. The homes, listed on Bernalillo County (BernCo) property tax records, are located at 2101 Oxford Avenue SE and 2100 Coal Place SE.

SJGS Plan Approved: After years of discussion, hearings and community involvement, the NM Public Regulation Commission adopted PNM’s plan to shut down half of San Juan Generating Station (SJGS) yesterday. This decision is good news for those wanting affordable and reliable electric energy for the state.

Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce is Hosting a Pre Legislative Round Table Discussion and NMBC Presentation Titled ‘Pro-Business – Talk is Not Enough,’ on December 15: The Alamogordo Chamber is hosting a Pre Legislative Round Table Discussion with legislators from the area followed by a presentation and Q/A with NMBC President Carla Sonntag.
