HB 241 Compact With America Rep Yvette Harrell (505) 986-4248 Legislation to propose and ratify a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution has been gaining steam in multiple states and needs to be supported by New Mexico. This bill is scheduled for House Consumer & Public Affairs Committee (HCPAC) on February 12th, 2013.

$5.6 Billion Spent; NM #1 in Poverty

Dear NMBC Friend,

Do billions of taxpayer dollars create prosperity in New Mexico? Nearly $5.6 BILLION dollars of taxpayer ‘stimulus’ money was pumped into NM over the past 4 years. Yet, we moved from #3 in the nation to #1 for people living in poverty.
