2023 Keynote Speaker: Jeremy Gay
Jeremy has practiced law as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps, prosecuting and defending federal felony and misdemeanor criminal offenses. Jeremy has also advised hundreds of service members, veterans, and their families on how to navigate family law issues, estate planning, and legal readiness for parents, grandparents, and business owners. He continues to serve the community through his firm in Gallup, NM.
Co-Masters of Ceremony:
Jim Williams, of the well-known ABQconnect radio show, will be returning from last year, as a co-Master of Ceremonies! Jim was born and raised in Albuquerque, has played basketball for UNM, and currently serves New Mexicans as the Development Director of SICORP.
We are thrilled to have Nancy Laflin returning from 2019 as a co-Master of Ceremonies! She is an Emmy award-winning former news reporter for KOAT-7 news and has produced an award-winning TV show, promoting the state’s music and tourism. Nancy currently serves New Mexicans as the Communications Specialist and Spokeswoman for the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The 2023 Heroes Banquet will be held on November 2nd at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Albuquerque, from 6pm-8pm. We will be honoring the lives and families of fallen first responders, while also honoring public safety heroes and veterans who have gone above and beyond the line of duty.
